The CST861 provides an integrated brush-DC motor drive solution for battery-powered toys, low-voltage or battery-powered motion control applications. The H-bridge drive circuit with N-channel and P-channel power MOSFET is integrated in the circuit, which is suitable for driving a brushed DC motor or a winding of driving a stepper motor. The circuit has a wide operating voltage range (from 2V to 12.0V), with a maximum continuous output current of 2.6A and a maximum peak output current of 4A. The series circuits VCC and VDD are powered respectively, in which VCC is the logic power supply and VDD is the power supply.
CST861 drive circuit built-in overheat protection circuit. When the load current through the drive circuit is much greater than the maximum continuous current of the circuit, limited by the package heat dissipation capacity, the junction temperature of the chip inside the circuit will rise rapidly, once the set value is exceeded (typical value 150 oC), the internal circuit will immediately turn off the output power tube, cut off the load current, to avoid the continuous rise in temperature caused by plastic packaging smoke, fire and other safety hazards. The built-in temperature hysteresis circuit ensures that the circuit is restored to the safe temperature before allowing the circuit to be controlled again.
CST861 series products are equipped with a separate current sampling output pin, sampling output current sampling ratio of 1000:1, the output sampling current is used for MCU analysis or control peripheral circuit to control the output current.
