In November last year, it announced that it would sell them to NXP for NT $1.214 billion. Further announcement will be made today, with a disposal benefit of approximately NT $243 million.
Weichuang has sold several factories in recent years, including the 2020 iPhone Kunshan factory sold to Lixun, and last October, it sold its Indian factory to Tata Electronics, a subsidiary of Tata Group, for 3.89 billion yuan, exiting the iPhone manufacturing industry.
