1. Voltage rise and fall test of lithium battery

    First, let the lithium battery drop to 3.3V through the step-down chip, then supply power to the MCU and Bluetooth module, and plan to rise to 7V to carry a load.

    Result: the Bluetooth module does not work and cannot be searched. Remove Bluetooth, MCU and load work normally. When the MCU is removed, Bluetooth and load work normally. When a group of power is supplied separately without step-down, all three work normally.

2. Problems of lithium battery boost and depressurization

    Let‘s analyze the causes of the above problems, find out the common faults of lithium pool pressure rise and fall, and learn together.

    The monomer voltage of lithium-ion battery has a certain range. For example, the normal working voltage range of lithium iron phosphate battery is 2.5v-3.65v, and the normal working voltage range of lithium manganate and ternary battery is 3v-4.2v.

    In the application of lithium-ion battery, when the total voltage is 60V and below, the battery protection board is required. Above 60V, battery management system (BMS) is required. These two batteries work properly.

    Note that after the number of strings of the battery pack is set, the battery pack voltage cannot be adjusted at will. That is, the voltage change of the battery pack can only change within the normal working voltage range: when charging, it rises from the lower voltage limit to the upper voltage limit. When using power, it drops from the upper voltage limit to the lower voltage limit.

    Understand this problem. If you want to make the voltage rise and fall range of lithium battery large, you can adjust it at will.

    The best solution: make a battery pack, equipped with a suitable inverter, and then equipped with a DC voltage regulator, which can meet the boost and step-down requirements of lithium battery.

    Note: this method is rarely used in practical application. Unless the AC power supply used is often powered off, or the battery pack is charged with solar or wind energy, this method of step-up and step-down will be considered.

    The above methods of boosting and reducing voltage of lithium battery can be used in the test, and the learning effect is good.
