Linear charge management

TP4066H

    TP4066H is a single lithium-ion battery with a 30V high voltage input and complete OVP protection function. It uses a constant current/constant voltage linear charger. The ESOP8/DFN2 * 2-8 package with heat sinks at the bottom and fewer external components make TP4066H an ideal choice for portable applications. TP4066H can work with USB power supplies and adapter power supplies. The maximum withstand voltage of TP4066H‘s CE, TEMP, CHRG, and STDBY ports can also reach 30V.
    Due to the use of an internal PMOSFET architecture and an anti reverse charging circuit, there is no need for external isolation diodes. Thermal feedback can automatically adjust the charging current to limit the chip temperature during high-power operation or high ambient temperature conditions. The full charge voltage is 4.2V, 4.35V, 4.4V, and the charging current can be set externally through a resistor. When the charging current drops to 1/10 of the set value after reaching the final float charging voltage, TP4066H will automatically terminate the charging cycle.
    When the input voltage (AC adapter or USB power supply) is removed, TP4066H automatically enters a low current state, reducing the battery leakage current to below 1uA. TP4066H can also be placed in shutdown mode when there is power, thereby reducing the power supply current to 100uA. Other features of TP4066H include battery temperature detection, input undervoltage lockout, input overvoltage protection, automatic recharging, CE enable end control, and two LED status pins for indicating charging and ending.
